National ads (those which come to The Canyon News via an agency or other similar media) will be billed at a rate of $6.95 per column inch. 15% commission is allowed for agencies for payment by the 10th of the following month.
Agencies, on a per request basis, may qualify for earned rate schedule. No commission is allowed on this schedule, all earned rates are net, payable on 10th of month.

The first Sunday of each month, the News is circulated to an additional 2500 households, thereby providing total market coverage (100% penetration of Canyon).
Advertisers are charged a premium of $1.00 per column inch more than their earned display rate for this edition.
Total Home Coverage (THC) is available every Thursday.
THC includes every home in Canyon and the WTAMU campus, (7,100 distr.) for $1 col. in. premium.

Established in 1896, The Canyon News is the only general Circulation newspaper published in Canyon. Published twice weekly, Thursday and Sunday, with a total press run of 4200. The News is circulated to most of the city's 4,800 households. Primary market is the city of Canyon, secondary is Randall County and Canyon School District, which extends into south Amarillo. Cost is 75¢ single copy. Subscription price $36 yearly ($20 for six months) if you live in Randall County and surrounding counties, or $40.00 if you live elsewhere.
The Canyon News liability for major errors lessening the value of an advertisement shall be limited to republishing the incorrect part of the advertisement in correct form or to refunding such portion of the cost of the advertisement as it shall elect.
The advertiser shall defend and indemnify and hold harmless The Canyon News against liability or loss asserted or established by or published at direction of the advertiser.
The Canyon News reserves the right to refuse advertising it deems unacceptable for publication. Shoppers, Business Reviews, or any other inserts containing advertisements from more than one business and sold by firms other than The Canyon News, will be charged at $1.50 per column inch of advertising contained within the publication, with a minimum charge of $285. All inserts of this nature subject to prior approval by publisher.
We reserve the right to insert the word "advertisement" in all ads, especially "all copy" ads which may be mistaken for news articles.
Any ad canceled after it has been produced will be charged at $35 per hour for production costs.
